"Wow! Such an amazing experience with Jenny for my first time at Harueh. Definitely one of the best and friendly hair stylists I’ve had. Her perms and cut were very detailed and professional. Will be back soon!!"

"I’m really disappointed with my experience here, specifically with my hairstylist Celine. I came in with very long, thick hair and a great perm I got done in Korea. I specifically asked to keep the volume, cut a small amount of length with some layers at the bottom. After the initial cut, I mentioned that the ends felt a bit too blunt for my preference and asked for more layers at the bottom and only the bottom. She gave me more of a U shape rather than a V shape, which is more of what I’m used to. You can tell in my before photos. I NEVER asked for any internal thinning or bulk removal. Instead, a significant amount of density was removed from within my hair. Celine mentioned she was only thinning the middle inner layers but the sparseness is visible throughout—especially at the roots and along the sides. My hair now feels thin everywhere, not just at the top, with no structure to hold any volume on the back and the sides. It sits flat and separates, which is the exact opposite of what I asked for. Even if I did ask for thinning (which I know for a fact I did not), who would even thin it to this extent? It’s absolutely insane. Because I had a perm and naturally thick hair, this cut essentially removed both the density and the texture that gave my hair its shape. It’s been three weeks and I’m still depressed over it. It legit feels like I’m balding at my roots. On top of that my hair is SO FRIZZY due to the thinning. I do want to note that the front desk handled the situation professionally and provided a refund, which I appreciate. But when I confronted Celine, there was no apology or even an acknowledgement of her mistake. Additionally, my boyfriend visited the same salon (with a different stylist) and also experienced excessive thinning, which he had never had an issue with before. I’ve included before and after photos for reference. I would strongly caution anyone with thick or textured hair to simply not go to this salon. I also believe the stylists here need to go through some better training because they do not know the difference between thinning and layers. Of course some hair needs to be thinned out for some nice layers, but to remove so much internal bulk that your hair actually collapses? Who thinks that’s ok? And it seems like I’m not the only one who has experienced this from this salon. If you go look at other reviews, one other girl had to take minoxidil to recover from excessive hair thinning. UPDATE AFTER 4 WEEKS: There has been absolutely no improvement. My roots are sparse throughout my entire head and my hairs still clump together making it feel like I’m balding. The entire back of my head is still FLAT. Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten in my entire life. I regret coming here so much."

"The best Korean hair salon from Cape Town to New York City! I came in with damaged, orange-toned hair from another salon in Dallas, and they completely restored it—my hair looks healthy and vibrant again! Talking about the haircut is a top notch. This is my first time getting a Korean style haircut. I highly recommend this place to visit."

"I’ve been going to Hareuh Salon for years, and I can’t recommend them enough. David is an excellent stylist, especially when it comes to more complex services. He consistently does a fantastic job with down perms, perms, and haircuts, and always takes the time to make sure everything looks just right. Beyond the great hair services, the entire staff is warm, welcoming, and professional. The salon has a relaxing atmosphere, making every visit an enjoyable experience. I almost hesitate to write this review because David is one of those rare stylists you want to keep as your own little secret! 😂 Every time I recommend him, I worry he’ll become even harder to book. But credit where credit is due—he’s that good. If you’re looking for a talented stylist and a great salon experience, I highly recommend David and the team at Hareuh Salon. Just don’t take all my appointment slots! 😉"
